My daughter Anya is 6. In October 2007 she got sick. With high fever and enlarged
subclavicular lymph node, she was admitted to Regional Clinical Children's
hospital in Krasnodar where on November 15, 2007 she was diagnosed with acute
lymphoblastic leukemia. The treatment lasted a year and 7 months, but in May
2009 Anya had an early bone marrow relapse. We were told that Anya needed bone
marrow transplantation that can be done at R. Gorbacheva clinic and referred
to St. Petersburg for consultation. Unfortunately, no matching donors were
found for Anya at the international registry, so a different type of
transplantation is being considered.
I am raising two children (Anya and her 10-year-old daughter), and live with
my mother and younger sister. I cannot work at this time because I stay with
my daughter at the clinic. My older daughter lives with her grandmother for
now. Our income consists of pension (4,700 rubles), sick leave (1,200 rubles)
and my mother's retirement (3,000 rubles).
Please help us with paying for the tests that will be needed for bone marrow
transplantation. In the future, we will also need help with paying for a rented
apartment. In addition, we will probably need help of blood donors. Anya's blood
type is AВ(IV) Rh(+).
Thank you in advance,
Katerina, Anya's mom
