Other Egor's photos

We are parents of Egor Starostin, and we would like to ask for help!
Our son is only 3 years and 8 months, and he has already stayed at the hospital for almost 1.5 years.
Our home is in Stavropol. In June 2005, Egor got sick. His abdomen enlarged, skin turned yellow and his temperature rose. He stayed at the infectious diseases hospital for three weeks, and then he had an ultrasound that showed a tumor on the right side of his liver. We were referred for diagnostics to the Blokhin Oncology Center in Moscow. There Egor was diagnosed with hepatoblastoma and referred back to Stavropol for two courses of pre-operative chemotherapy.
After we returned to Moscow, we were sent back to Stavropol again for one more chemo in Stavropol. After it was over, we went to Tubingen (Germany) for an operation. The operation was paid for by Irina Perepelitsa. Her daughter was sick too, and the money for her operation in Belgium was collected by the viewers of "Russia" TV channel. Fortunately for us, the money collected was more than what was needed for Irina's daughter, so Egor's operation was paid for as well.
Our son was in a grave condition when we brought him to Germany. His doctors told us that he had 2 more days left to live at the most. The tumor put pressure on his organs, so his spleen was not working, and he had a thrombosis of the portal vein. The operation lasted 9 hours, and Egor's heart stopped during the operation. Our son withstood all of this! He wanted to live very much.
In summer of 2006, we were invited to Moscow for examination at the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences in Surgery by Professor S. Gautier, who is a specialist in liver transplantation. After that, we were examined at the Blokhin Oncology Center again, and Egor was found to have a metastasis in his lung. Unfortunately, we were not admitted to the hospital due to lack of available rooms, and we went back to Stavropol.
And Egor got lucky again. The Happy World fund paid for the operation to remove the metastasis at the hospital No. 31 in St. Petersburg. Egor had to have two operations. He now needs to get at least two chemotherapy blocks to strengthen the result of operations. Egor needs a lot of donated blood. We do not know anyone in St. Petersburg, which is why we asked AdVita fund to help us find the donors.
Blood of any type can be donated. We will be very happy if someone helps us! Egor went through so much, and he so little left on his road to recovery.
