Hello!
My name is Aliyar Tazakhan ogly Ibaev. I am a citizen of Azerbaijan.
Please help me with treatment of my son Hayal. Hayal is 14. In 2001 he got
sick with acute leukemia. He underwent treatment in St. Petersburg and got
well. All was going well. But in April 2009, my son got fever, lost his
appetite and became fatigued. The doctors diagnosed a recurrence of acute
lymphoblastic leukemia. Azerbaijani doctors told us to bring Hayal to Russia
if we want to save him. So we came to St. Petersburg. Hayal is now undergoing
treatment in City hospital No.31 at Dinamo prospect, 3.
When we were admitted to the unit, my son was in a very serious condition,
very weak and skinny. After he got sick, he lost a lot of weight and weighed
only 30 kg while his height is 155 cm.
We had to pay the full cost of treatment at the hospital. The bills were
enormous and unaffordable to us. We paid 750,000 rubles for six rounds of
chemotherapy and supporting medications. We sold everything we could. We
raised money through our friends and relatives. We are very grateful to the
people who showed their support for us. By now, we have completed six rounds
of chemotherapy. The complete treatment, however, requires 10-11 rounds of
chemotherapy. In the beginning, Hayal had very difficult time tolerating
treatment and had complications.
He needs to continue this life-saving treatment. But we have no more money.
I am asking for your support. Please show Hayal that you care. He has gone
through so much already. Please help us save him!
With hope,
Aliyar Ibaev, Hayal's father
