Hello,
My name is Victor Sergeevich, and I am asking for help for my daughter.
Irina was born in 1984 in Elizovo, a town in Kamchatka. In 2005 she
graduated from Social & Humanitarian Studies University in Moscow
with a degree in psychology.
In spring of 2007 she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
Ira was referred for bone marrow transplantation. Unfortunately,
Ira's brother did not match as a donor, and there were no matches a
t the International registry as well. For this reason, in 2008 it
was decided that Ira should undergo autologous bone marrow
transplantation to prevent a relapse. Unfortunately, it
was not successful.
Our daughter is now on treatment at R. Gorbacheva Institute of
Pediatric Hematology and Transplantology. The doctors are recommending
haploidentical bone marrow transplantation from one of
the parents. I will be the donor.
The operation requires two cylinders, and each of them costs
6,000 euros. Our relatives raised half of the money, and we need to
find the remaining 6,000 euros. And these are not the only expenses
we will incur. After transplantation, Irina will live in
St. Petersburg for some time to be monitored by the doctors.
We cannot afford the apartment rent: my spouse and I are both retired.
Please help my daughter get healthy again!
Respectfully,
Victor Ligai
