Vanya's other photos

Hello!
Our long-awaited firstborn, Vanechka, was born on June 10, 2007. Only two months later, we heard a terrifying diagnosis, acute myeloblastic leukemia (cancer of blood).
This little guy stoically tolerates blood transfusions and chemotherapy rounds. Except his eyes are as serious as adult's, and only at times you can notice a mischievous spark in them. Vanechka is currently receiving a course of supporting chemotherapy.
Despite Vanya's and the doctors' joint fight, his disease is not retreating. Based on the doctors' conclusion, Vanya needs bone marrow transplantation from an unrelated donor to save his life. The donor has to be sought through the European database, but this type of expense is not covered by a federally-sponsored quota. We managed to pay the bill from Stefan Morsch fund for the donor search and delivery of transplant to Russia, but since the operation will take place in St. Petersburg, we need the funds for our lodging and post-operative treatment for Vanechka. Our family does not have this much money.
Vanya is constantly in motion; he loves to talk, listen to music and books, and to play with cars. At times though, he quiets down while cuddling with his mom and hugging her as if asking for protection. In his eyes I can read the desire to live.
Everyone who reads this, please help us. Please give Vanya a chance to live. He, in turn, will do everything possible and even impossible in the fight for his life.

With respect and hope for help,
Zatona family
