Hello!
My daughter's name is Yulia, she is 2. In October 2006, she was diagnosed with
hepatoblastoma of the right part of her liver. On October 18, 2006 she was operated,
and the right lobe of her liver and the gallbladder were removed. The operation
was performed at the Children's City hospital in Krasnoyarsk.
Unfortunately, the tumor was not removed completely, and Yulia was prescribed
chemotherapy as supplemental treatment. From December 2006, Yulia underwent six
chemotherapy courses, which were not effective. The liver transplantation is the only
way to save Yulia.
In May 2007, we contacted Russian Center of Scientific Surgery in Moscow regarding liver
transplantation. Before the operation, we needed a special preparatory chemotherapy
course at the City hospital No.31, and this is where we currently stay.
The cost of a course is 100,000 – 150,000 rubles, and Yulia needs two of them. Since
we are not the residents of St. Petersburg, we have to pay in full for the therapy and
hospital stay.
It is impossible for us to raise so much money in such a short time. We would like to
ask for assistance from others and we will be grateful for any help.

Update as of July 30, 2007.
Yulia completed her chemotherapy protocol, and she had an operation to remove a lesion in her lungs. She will now
recover and undergo examination at a later date. Based on the test results, a decision will be made whether she needs related liver
transplantation, which may be performed in September.
Update as of August19, 2007.
On August 20th, Yulia will go to Moscow for related liver transplantation. She was invited by Professor Gautier. Her treatment at hospital
No.31 is completed and she is in complete remission. We will continue informing Yulia’s supporters about her treatment in Moscow.
Update as of September 2, 2007.
Yulia was refused related liver transplantation. In Professor Gauthier's opinion,
the transplantation would be impossible as Yulia's portal veins are damaged
by her tumor. Yulia's documents are now being prepared for consultation with
Western transplantologists. For now, her parents took Yulia home to Krasnoyarsk.
Update as of October 11, 2007.
Unfortunately, neither Belgian nor German specialists can help Yulia. We got negative responses from both clinics. We are very grateful to
everyone for their help! Currently Yulia feels relatively well.
Update as of December 20, 2007.
Yulia feels well, except for a cold she had recently. We wanted to take her for a CT scan, but we could
not get it without a referral. We can't get a referral because no doctor wants to take us for therapy, as
they don't know what to do with Yulia.
Recently we called Novosibirsk, and we are hoping we can take Yulia for a scan there.
Yulia is growing up. She understands everything and talks well. Overall, we are doing well and getting ready
for the New Year. Happy holidays to everyone! This photo was taken last
month and shows Yulia and I together.
