Q: I would like to transfer money for the treatment of a specific patient. How can I do it?

A: You can transfer money to the personal bank accounts of our patients. To do so, please go to the "Patients" page, click on the patient's photo and you will be forwarded to the web page with patient's bank detail. Only patients or their close relatives have access to the bank accounts. You can also forward money by credit card or in cash.

Q: I would like to send money for the treatment of all patients. How can I do it?

A: Please use the wire information of the Bone Marrow Transplantation Department at the St. Petersburg's Pavlov State Medical University or AdVita Charitable Foundation. The donations are tax-deductible for the legal entities.

Q: I would like to finance acquisition of the medical equipment (supplies, medications, etc.) for the Department of Bone Marrow Transplantations. Which account should I use?

A: The same bank account as above with the same designated beneficiary.

Q: I live abroad. My bank charges high fees for the foreign currency transfer to the account in Savings Bank of Russian Federation. Do you accept checks?

A: Yes!

Q: I live overseas. I would like to send the money for the specific patient, but not through the bank transfer. I prefer using a system similar to Western Union or MoneyGram, which would not charge as much for the transfer. What can you recommend?

A: Although we cannot provide complete information, we recommend the following international systems for the money transfers: Contact network and Anelik system. They both charge 2-3% fee per transfer and have offices in St. Petersburg. At their web sites, you can find whether they have offices in your city.

Q: I would like to transfer money for one of your patients, but it is very difficult to understand the banking detail. Could you provide the completed Savings Bank of Russian Federation transfer form on your web site?

A: We intended to do so. However, Savings Bank of Russian Federation employees explained us that it is not necessary. Bank operator enters detail in the electronic form. You can simply print out the detail from our web site and bring it to your bank.

Q: I work in the media. I would like to write about your work and the need for the creation of bone marrow donors database in Russia. Would you object?

A: We would be only happy to attract attention to this problem. However, to avoid populist speculations regarding crime on the market for the organ transplants, we would have to review the text prior to the publication. We would like to ensure that only truthful information about our work is published.

Q: Why do the state and insurance companies not pay for such expensive treatment as bone marrow transplantation?

A: We cannot answer this question. We are financed by the BMT Department of the Medical University, and also receive sponsorship from colleagues abroad and donations.
